I got this story at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, in a Physics exam questions as follows:
How to determine the height of a skyscraper with a barometer (air pressure gauge)?
The correct answer was intuitive and is measuring the difference between atmospheric pressure on Earth and the skyscraper. One answer was provoking students of physics professor that gave him zero without complete reform of the rest of the answers and recommended him for an absolute inability to succeed, the student answer was as follows: fasten the barometer to the long rope and wter from highest skyscraper so touches the ground and then measure the length of the string.
