No metaphor there is a hotel made entirely of salt in Bolivia, named Hotel Playa de Sal:
Salt is everything in this hotel, ground Valtaulh and seats and everything inside and outside the hotel made of salt, so that it is surrounded by the white desert contains 10 million tons of salt!!
Use the hotel owners salt industry cubes stacked on top of each other to build the walls, floors, ceilings, and even chairs and tables and family!! (Imagine that you lie on a bed of salt!!)
