Genes cause migraine

Genes cause migraine

European scientists said Australian and they have identified four new genes linked to the more common form of migraine stressing at the same time its genetic character.
These mutations were detected in 4,800 people suffer from migraine "without Laura" (without signs such as visual disturbances), a form of the three-quarters of migraine attacks.
These mutations were absent in another group of seven thousand people do not suffer from migraine researchers said.
The study emphasizes on the other hand the presence of two other genes was the bearer of contracting the disease, out of the three genes identified in previous research.
And migraine affects one in every six women and one man out of every eight and a major cause of absence from work.
The new genes identified in the study reinforce the hypothesis that there is an imbalance in the work of the molecules responsible for transmitting signals between nerve cells of the brain contributes to the onset of a heart migraine headache on what researchers said.
In addition, that two of these genes also reinforce the hypothesis possible role for the veins and, consequently, disturbances in blood flow.
