Vegetarian diet inhibits the growth of cancer

Already known that a vegetarian diet helps fight cancer, new research indicates that a vegan diet can impact negatively on the growth of cancer here already.

Where statistics have demonstrated that communities which consume less food animal and plant nutrition based food with less risk of cancer. And cancer risk in vegetarians less by about 50 per cent of people who eat meat on a regular basis.

The plant foods high in antioxidants, and antioxidants can protect DNA from damage that can lead to malignant transformation. According to a new study, plant foods can affect the ability of the cancer to grow through a process called angiogenesis and tissue capacity to build new blood vessels.

When this process fails, the new blood vessels are not when you need them. Some researchers have developed drugs that can help to reduce or limit the growth of cancerous tumor by examining this process.

"William Lee", the researcher who headed the cardiovascular Institute in Cambridge, mass., "foods such as apples, oranges, grapes and vegetables such as tomatoes and pumpkins are able to inhibit formation of blood vessels to cancerous cell one or a group of cancerous cells to be able to grow enough to cause any damage. And some plants also contain proteins which help to curb the growth of cancer cells.
