Copper is a metal works with iron to form red blood cells. Copper helps produce energy in cells and the formation of the faceplate of your nerves and connective tissue.

What is the best food sources?

There are copper in a wide variety of foods. The best sources of copper are meat (especially liver), seafood such as oysters, lobster, nuts, seeds, wheat bran and whole grain products.

Recommended daily amount: 2 mg, trailing a small quantity as 10 mg of copper can have a toxic effect.

What happens if you don't get enough of it?

Copper deficiency is rare in humans, but found a few exceptions. It has been observed in preterm infants who are fed on cow's milk exclusively, and infants being treated for malnutrition, and patients and fed intravenously for long periods. In these cases, symptoms associated with copper deficiency include anemia (which can be corrected by copper supplementation) and levels of abnormally low white blood cells.

What happens if I took it too much?

The harmful effects of increased consumption of copper from food is rare in healthy individuals. And acute poisoning has led to copper through contaminated drinks (from water sources contaminated awaltkhzin in containers containing both copper) and digestive diseases, mostly in the form of abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Possible long-term exposure to excessive amounts can cause liver damage and kidney failure, coma, and death.
