Viruses are essential for life on Earth

A British scientist said that viruses may be necessary for living organisms on Earth. Regard to this Nicholas Mann believes that half of the oxygen produced by bacteria living inside the tiny creatures called phytoplankton.


Nicholas said that micro-organisms in large parts of the oceans is responsible for providing oxygen and get rid of carbon dioxide, which is composed of a single cell bacteria called Cyanobacteria.

These organisms are very important and which make life possible on our planet is under attack by a variety of viruses.
"We started now that some of the oxygen we inhale him produced by bacteria exposed to viral infection," he said, adding that no viruses are essential to our survival.
